While epidemiologic studies associate fiber intake with lower body weight, researchers from the University of Minnesota Department of Food Science and Nutrition recently challenged increased satiety and energy intake as possible determining factors. Their findings are presented in “The Effect of Fiber on Satiety and Food Intake: A Systematic Review,” currently available in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, the official publication of the American College of Nutrition, and a publication from Routledge.
