Researchers study selenium's effects on horses




Selenium is an essential part of the equine diet. Some horses do not get enough selenium because they graze on forages in areas with low selenium in the soil. Researchers at the University of Kentucky and Alltech are curious whether selenium levels affect how horses respond to vaccines.
