Several common differentially expressed genes between Kashin-Beck disease and Keshan disease




Kashin-Beck disease and Keshan disease are mainly endemic to China. These two diseases have similar etiological hypotheses, but the etiology and pathogenesis of the two diseases are still unclear. A paper published in issue 8 2013 of Science China Life Sciences identified the common differentially expressed gene in the two diseases, which provides a new effective approach for elucidating the etiology and pathogenesis of Kashin-Beck disease and Keshan disease.
