The biggest mass extinction and Pangea integration




A biotic extinction happened 250 million years ago; it is the biggest one in Earth's history. A recent study shows that global changes on the Earth's surface caused by Pangea integration, volcanism and related crust disturbances played key roles in this mass extinction. This study was published in SCIENCE CHINA, Earth Sciences.
