New research report shows the influence of cognitive factors on ecosystem services valuation

Valuation of ecosystem services is central to forestry and natural resources strategies and policy-making. A new report from Forest Research, the research agency of the Forestry Commission shows how cognitive factors influence people’s choices and preferences and that this can affect the values that they place upon ecosystem services and upon ecosystem sustainability.
