UB and the University of Cuenca, in Ecuador, sign an agreement to study and protect the biodiversity in the Andes

To promote scientific collaboration and research on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in Ecuador, particularly, to study the effects of climate change and the measures to reduce its impact on the environment, is the main objective of the agreement signed between the University of Barcelona (UB) and the University of Cuenca (Ecuador). The agreement will develop a collaboration programme, coordinated by Dr Carlos Gràcia, professor from the Department of Ecology of UB, and Dr Henrietta Hample, from the University of Cuenca.
